Servings

6 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds baby red potatoes (unpeeled, whole or halved)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (plus more to taste)

Directions

  4. In a small bowl, mix sour cream and salt. Dollop the mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Scatter butter pieces evenly over the top.
  6. Cover and cook:
    • LOW for 4–5 hours, or
    • HIGH for 2–3 hours
  7. Once tender, gently stir from the bottom to coat potatoes in the creamy sauce.
  8. Taste and adjust salt if needed. Keep warm until serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve directly from the slow cooker alongside ham, roast chicken, pot roast, or simple mains like sausages, pork chops, or baked salmon. Pair with a green salad or steamed vegetables and crusty bread to balance the richness.
