Delicious Apple Pie with Cinnamon Sugar Topping

Ingredients

For the Apple Base:

Peel and slice enough apples to cover the bottom of an 8-inch pie plate

For the Topping:

2 eggs

1 cup sugar (reserve ¼ cup and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon to it)

2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

 

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Apples

Peel and slice enough apples to cover the bottom of an 8-inch pie plate.

 

Step 2: Prepare the Topping

In a mixing bowl, combine all topping ingredients except for the reserved cinnamon sugar. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

 

Step 3: Assemble the Pie

Sprinkle the reserved cinnamon sugar mixture over the sliced apples in the pie plate. Pour the topping mixture evenly over the apples.

 

Step 4: Bake the Pie

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the pie for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is firm and golden brown.
