Sausage balls are one of our favorite snacks. I always have a bag in my freezer for a quick snack. I had frozen hash browns in the freezer and was thinking of ways to use them. I was wondering how they would taste in my favorite sausage ball recipe. Only one way to find the exit!
I made a bunch of sausage balls and mixed hash browns. I patiently wait for them to wake up. I took a bite and got my answer. They are great! This would be great for parties or Christmas morning! Just scramble a few eggs for a super-quick Christmas breakfast.
ingredients
°1 lb breakfast sausage
°8 ounces soft cream cheese
°1 ½ cups Esquick
°4 freeze-dried hash browns, chopped
°1½ cups grated cheddar cheese
*Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl until well blended.
Shape the mixture into evenly sized balls about 1 inch in diameter.
Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
