No-Knead Cheesy Bread

Minimal effort, maximum flavor — rustic, airy bread with a golden cheesy crust.

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
All-purpose flour 3 cups
Instant yeast 2 teaspoons
Salt 1 teaspoon
Warm water 1 ½ cups
Shredded cheese (Cheddar, Mozzarella, etc.) 1 ½ cups

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  2. First Rise: Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let sit at room temperature for 12–18 hours until bubbly and risen.
  3. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot with lid inside while heating.
  4. Bake & Add Cheese: Carefully remove hot pot, sprinkle flour inside to prevent sticking. Transfer dough into pot and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. Bake in Stages: Cover with lid and bake 30 minutes. Remove lid and bake 10–15 minutes more, until golden brown.
  6. Cool & Serve: Remove bread from pot and cool on wire rack before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
