A pot roast is one of the best comfort foods on the planet. Perfect is a tender roast that falls apart after cooking all day in the slow cooker with carrots and potatoes. This Three Envelope Roast is incredibly simple to prepare.

Envelope Roast is a flavorful and budget-friendly way to prepare a hearty beef dish that’s packed with savory, comforting flavors. This recipe is especially popular for its simplicity—it uses a packet of dry soup mix, usually onion or brown gravy, which is where the “envelope” name comes from.

This roast is tasty and tender, and it’s excellent for supper any night of the week. It’s simple enough that you won’t be stressed, yet tasty enough for a holiday, entertaining friends or family, and so on. It’s the ultimate comfort food, and it’s a hit with everyone!

Ingredients:
3 lb. Chuck Roast
1 pkg Dry Italian Seasoning Mix
1 pkg Dry Ranch Seasoning Mix
1 pkg Dry Brown Gravy Mix
1 cup Water
Salt And Pepper
How To Make Three Envelope Roast:
Season roast with salt and pepper.
Put roast in a crockpot.
Add the 3 packages of mixes in a small bowl.
Pour in 1 cup of water.
Use a whisk to mix all of the ingredients together in the bowl.
Pour over the top of the roast.
Set the crockpot on high. Cook for 4 hours.
Continue to base the roast with the seasonings.
Optional:

Add baby potatoes, whole baby carrots, and chopped onions to the crockpot.
Check to make sure that the vegetables are fully cooked before serving.
