Grilled Lobster Tail with Garlic Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Lobster Tail:
4 lobster tails
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the lobster tails:
Using kitchen shears, cut down the top of the lobster shells lengthwise to expose the flesh, but do not cut through the tail end.
Gently pull the meat out of the shell, leaving it attached at the tail end, and place it on top of the shell. Brush the lobster meat with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
Grill the lobster tails:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Place the lobster tails, shell side down, on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the meat is opaque and firm to the touch. Be careful not to overcook the lobster.
Prepare the garlic butter sauce:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
Serve:
Drizzle the grilled lobster tails with the garlic butter sauce. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
Serve hot with extra sauce on the side.
